Trailer update: sound and transitions

This is a further screen shot of my progress on my trailer. When watching it back I realized with feedback that it needed more text in order for the story to flow better therefore I added more text slides which I think has improved it a lot.

Furthermore on certain slides I added more sound effects called 'the Boom' this is conventional to many horror film trailers as it can have a terrifying effect on the audience and allow the trailer to have more impact. Additionally

Lastly I have finished adding video transitions to my new added slides this allows the trailer to flow easier making it more appealing to the audience. The transition I added above was Film dissolve this creates a slight overlap of the two slides in conjunction to each other.

Trailer Progress

From this screenshot of my progress on premiere pro it is evident that i have added sound and transitions to my trailer. However I still need to add sound effects on different sections to fit to the conventions of a typical horror trailer. I am happy with my footage but I am going to try out different effects to see if i can improve further.

Time management: Trailer progress

This screenshot shows my progress of putting together my movie trailer for my main task. So far I have completed putting my footage in order and placing my film logo before. Still to do I have to replace the audio with my chosen soundtrack and add in the text elements. I think I am on track to finish this trailer and edit the transitions.

Choosing my cast

protagonist

Name: Chloe Hemmings
Age: 14

I chose Chloe because she was at the right age for what I wanted my main character to be. This way she comes across as innocent and vunerable making for a scary horror. Furthermore I needed to know this person well enough to work with comfortably and to be able to oraganise flexiable time scales. Notwithstanding Chloe has the right look as blonde hair has connatations of damsel in distress and purity which is exactly what I want to capture in my trailer. She has a background in drama and dance therefore I knew she would treat this professionally and have the skills needed for the performance.

Antagonist

Name: Hannah Carling
Age: 17

I chose Hannah as she was a little older therefore will come across as more intimidating to my younger main character. I see Hannah on a regular basis as we live near each other this way I could easily do costume and makeup trials to see which one fits the look. Additionally Hannah is very passionate and I feel a great asset to my cast. She has a interest in horror movies and tv shows such as 'American Horror story' which allow her to get into character easily. Above are two images one of her before the makeup and mask trial and one after.
